Perfection

When I was younger, I used to believe in perfect people. I would look in magazines or watch TV and wish I was as pretty or perfect as the celebrities I was looking at. There were, and still are, people in my school or other people I meet who seem to have it together. They are smart, beautiful, nice—and they have the coolest families. I used to compare myself to some of them until I realized that I was wrong.

My mom would tell me that nobody’s perfect. People may appear that way, but the ugly truth is that everybody has his or her own problems. No matter how amazing and lucky a person may seem, he or she is really dealing with the same problems that you are. You may argue that that’s not true, because not everybody’s parents are divorced or not every teenager has glasses or really bad acne. But when it comes down to it, Miley Cyrus is right: “Nobody’s Perfect.”

Your so right! Yea, everyone thinks I’m perfect, and its taken me a long time for people to start calling me that. BUt now that they are, I’m just annoyed! Because I’m not perfect! I have problems at home but i cover it all up when i’m hanging out or at school! People need to stop comparing and competing and realize how special THEY are. and not worry about others.
