Let’s Talk About Sextortion

It is an apparent issue that young teens (mainly girls) are taking pictures of themselves for strangers on the Internet, then these strangers are blackmailing the girls to do sexual things for them in order for them to not spill to their parents or spread the pictures around the Web. Here’s one example.

Facebook Albums

To say the least, Facebook is taking over! Almost everyone has a Facebook account, especially, it seems, teenagers and young adults, but the age ranges from middle school to grandparents!

I sign on everyday, and the first thing I look at is my homepage, which gives a glimpse of my friend’s latest additions to their profiles. Most of the time there are pictures added from the birthday bash the past weekend, or a day at the beach with friends.
